Complaints and feedback
If something about your care was not right, we would rather hear about it than not. Here is how to raise it.
Talk to us first
Most concerns are resolved fastest by telling the clinic directly. Call (07) 5632 8124 during clinic hours and ask to speak to the practice manager, or raise it with your practitioner at your next appointment.
You will not be treated differently for making a complaint, and it will not affect your access to care.
What we will do
We will acknowledge your complaint, look into what happened, and come back to you with an explanation and, where something went wrong, what we are changing as a result. If we need longer to investigate, we will tell you why and roughly how long it will take.
If you would rather not come to us
You are entitled to go to an external body at any point, including before raising it with us. You do not need our permission and you do not need to tell us.
Office of the Health Ombudsman (Queensland)
The independent body for health service complaints in Queensland. Phone 133 646, or visit oho.qld.gov.au.
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
For concerns about a registered practitioner's conduct, performance or health. Phone 1300 419 495, or visit ahpra.gov.au. In Queensland, notifications about practitioners are managed together with the Office of the Health Ombudsman.
Office of the Australian Information Commissioner
For privacy complaints, if you are not satisfied with our response. Phone 1300 363 992, or visit oaic.gov.au.
Feedback that is not a complaint
If something worked well, or you have an idea for how the practice could run better, tell reception or mention it at your next appointment. Practical suggestions from patients are usually the most useful ones we get.
