Telehealth Consultations
Speak with a registered practitioner by phone, without travelling to a clinic or sitting in a waiting room.
Appointments without the travel
A telehealth appointment is a consultation with a registered practitioner conducted by phone. It suits people who live a distance from the clinic, who have limited mobility, who work hours that make a clinic visit difficult, or who would simply prefer to have the conversation from home.
The consultation itself is the same clinical conversation you would have in person. Your practitioner will ask about your health history, your current circumstances and what has prompted you to book, and will discuss what is clinically appropriate for you.
What telehealth is well suited to
Telehealth works well for discussing symptoms and history, reviewing how an existing plan of care is going, and talking through options and next steps. Some things genuinely need an in-person examination — if that is the case, your practitioner will tell you and you can arrange an appointment at our Nerang clinic.
Before your appointment
You will be asked to provide some health information securely before you speak with your practitioner. Having your current medicines, any recent test results and your Medicare details to hand will make the appointment more useful.
Privacy
Consultations are private. Health information is handled in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and our privacy policy.
